What We Do
MTDC members and volunteers are hard at work supporting local, county, and state elections by recruiting great candidates, registering voters, and keeping the community informed about key issues. We team up with the Monmouth County Democratic Organization to amplify our impact and make sure Democratic voices are heard loud and clear.

History
The Democratic Party in Middletown, NJ, has a rich history intertwined with the township's development. Established in 1693, Middletown was one of Monmouth County's original townships. Democratic leaders have a storied history and have played pivotal roles in shaping local governance. Notably, James Patterson, born in Middletown in 1794, served in the New Jersey Legislative Council from 1841 to 1844 and was Vice President in 1844. He also contributed as a member and Director of the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
Today, our Democratic Party's enduring presence reflects its commitment to representing diverse voices in Middletown's political landscape.
